Don’t Allow AT&T to Abandon California’s Landline Phone Network

Dear CPUC President Alice Reynolds,

I raise my voice to demand that California maintain its support of reliable phone communications during emergencies. AT&T cannot be allowed to abandon it’s commitment to California communities nor our moral obligation to our most vulnerable residents.

California has power outages during and after earthquakes and wildfires, and frequently in anticipation of hazerdous weather activity. Often these outages last for several days and nights. The most reliable communications during these events are copper landlines. In many neighborhoods, no power means no VoIP lines, internet, or cell phone power. We cannot let our residents be without the ability to call emergency services for help during these critical times.

Please protect our residents and stand up to AT&T. Don’t let AT&T abandon California residents—

VOTE NO ON A. 23-03-003.

Thank you!
